Disc Locking Mechanisms

One of our most frequent queries is about the different locking mechanisms to hold CD/DVD's  in place as used by different anufacturers. We show the most common types below and would be happy to talk to you about your options. A major factor, however is the context in which the cases will be used. In some situations (eg DVD rental) having a very secure mechanism is not advisable. In other situations  eg exporting product or for multi-disc cases, a strong hold on the disc is essential.

AMARAY PUSH RELEASE

Common on most Amaray DVD case products  (Except the swing tray on double cases which becomes a different style to avoid accidental impact release of discs)

DURATY PUSH RELEASE

Duraty DVD case lock is a push release butterfly style and is often referred to by its patent name of M-lock. This neat solution to disc locking has the advantage of not being susceptible to accidental impact release. Especially useful for product to be despatched on to customers.

CORAL LEVER RELEASE

The Coral lever release is typical of a non-push release mechanism in that the disc has to be swivelled from the holder. The process requires an element of care and is therefore less popular with rental stores due to the risk of disc damage by customers

  KLIX LOCK RELEASE
